Ludovica arrives last and is noticed first. The gold goatskin catches every room she enters. The rock crystal handle catches everyone in it.

Andrea has been collecting beautiful things since she was twelve. The navy calfskin is precise, structured, serious. The amethyst handle gives her away. She is never quite as contained as she appears.

Claudia believes that warmth is the rarest luxury. The burgundy leather is the colour of a very good Barolo. The amethyst above it is the colour of the light that follows.
